TCL has introduced an exciting addition to its lineup with the launch of a cutting-edge 23.8-inch electronic paper display boasting remarkable attributes: exceptional brightness, strong contrast, and a swift refresh rate. Apart from this, there is very little that we know about the e-paper display at the moment. That said, as GizmoChina reported, what seems evident from the promotional material is that the new e-paper display is designed with electronic signage in mind.
There is no mention of the 23.8-inch e-paper panel in the E Ink official website although a 25.3-inch e-paper product has previously made its debut. In a noteworthy development from 2020, TCL CSOT and E Ink Optronics joined forces to collaborate on the manufacturing of electronic paper TFT backplanes, aimed at bolstering their presence in the market for larger-scale electronic paper billboards.
TCL CSOT will leverage an 8.5th-generation TFT panel production line to craft 42-inch electronic paper TFT backplanes, marking a significant milestone as the world’s pioneer in 8.5th-generation large-format electronic paper backplane manufacturing. This venture currently stands as the globe’s foremost facility for producing electronic paper TFT backplanes.
TCL CSOT emphasizes its strategic focus on advancing new display realms. Drawing on the distinctive bistable and reflective qualities of electronic paper, the technology holds pronounced advantages across outdoor settings, medical applications, educational contexts, and beyond.”
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
