The Light Phone 2 is a new E-Ink phone that is currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo. This is not a smartphone that you play games or read ebooks on, it is a basic device that makes phone calls and text messages. This is their second product, the first one shipped last year and was even more limited, you couldn’t even send an SMS.
The Light Phone 2 is a 4G LTE phone with a beautiful black & white matte display, although the company is scant with the hardware details it does have 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a woeful 500 mAH battery. This battery will only give you 5 days of standby time and only a few hours of talktime. Unless they include a bigger battery, this is just a novelty item.
