The last few days have been super busy in Berlin with our Good E-Reader IFA Exclusives. Really this years electronic show is all about 3D TV’s and a bunch of Tablet PC‘s. Not a whole lot of new electronic readers have been shown off here, other then the Acer Lumiread.
Taiwan based Acer seems to have their hearts set on a European launch before we see it in North America, and they have partnered with a popular eBook store called Libri.de in Germany for content distribution.
There will be on-board integrated support for Libri.de and there you can not only get popular eBooks with the German language in mind, but also Audio Books, Text Books and music for your device. From our research this eBook store offered exclusively for customers living in Germany primarily deals in ePub formats with DRM, so make sure you get Adobe Digital Editions installed on your computer.
This site as well, is heavily promoting the purchase of the Lumiread for 199 Euros and is available for purchase in the first few weeks of October for the WI-FI only version.
