Barnes and Noble has slashed the prices on the entire Nook Tablet Product line! This price drop is in effect online and at many retail stores, including Best Buy. The Nook Color is now $149, the Nook Tablet 8 GB is $179, and the 16 GB Nook Tablet is $199!
This is a welcome decrease in price as Barnes and Noble is seeing increased competition from the Google Nexus 7 and imminent release of a second generation Kindle Fire. Normally when companies drop the prices in a line of tablets at once, it is indicative of a new product release coming out soon. Barnes and Noble tends to release new tablets around this time of year, so the company might have something up its sleeves very soon. B&N normally keeps word of new product offers very close to the chest.
In the meantime, you can enjoy some massive discounts if you live in the USA. For everyone else, you can check out Shop e-Readers, which is also lowering the prices in the next 24 hours.
