Bookeen’s latest offering to their extended line of E-Readers culminates in their multi-touch Cybook Orizon which utilizes a new kind of e-ink, the SiPix Caress touch e-Paper. It also includes a Motion sensor which will automatically adjusts to portrait or landscape mode.
The New e-paper will feature around 16 levels of greyscale and will give you about 800X600 or 167 DPI resolution. Other features of the Orizon include Bluetooth, WI-FI, 2 GB of internal storage, which is good enough to hold around 500 to 1000 ebooks. Speaking of ebooks it will come bundled with 150 public domain ebooks preloaded on the device. You could also further enhance the onboard memory via the Micro SD Memory Card.
Now what is an e-reader without the ebook formats, it currently will read Read the following text formats : Adobe ePUB/PDF (with or without DRM), TXT and HTML files; photo formats: (16 level greyscale) : JPEG, GIF and PNG. If you want to adjust your Fonts you will have 12 font sizes, and different fonts available.
The Cybook Orizon will go on pre-order in Europe on Sept 25th from the Bookeen website for around $300.00 US.
