It was in January that Interead had first let it known that they would be coming up with an e-reader that will have a touchscreen interface apart from being WiFi ready. As per the latest e-reader news, Interead has revealed the COOL-ER Connect – as the e-reader has been so named – is ready, well almost so that we can expect the device to start streaming into the market from September. The other two e-readers that Interead said they will be bringing along include the COOL-ER Compact – a small low cost e-reader and the COOL-ER 3G that will have, well 3G functionality apart from other goodies.
Interead has also confirmed that the COOL-ER Compact will also be launched during the same time though what is intriguing is the surprise omission of any mention of the COOL-ER 3G that should already have been with us by this time of the year.
Coming to the COOL-ER Connect, the e-reader will be featuring a touchscreen enabled 6-inch E-Ink screen and will sport a price tag of less than $250. Interestingly, the e-readers will be put together by Netronix who are also known to be the makers of Kobo e-reader. Interead has also confirmed that the COOL-ER Compact too will have a 6 inch screen though it will have a smaller body around it and will be devoid of touchscreen or WiFi. However, no pricing details have been announced of the COOL-ER Compact.
Keep watching for more on this as well as the latest e-reader news.
Also, no more waiting as the Good E-Reader Magazine is already out. You will have to subscribe to have the mag delivered right to your inbox.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
