According to a report at Digitimes, Hanwang Technology will be coming up with its new color e-reader towards the end of first quarter of 2011. A unique aspect of the e-book reader is that it will be based on EPD panel sourced from E Ink Holdings (EIH) that promises to introduce vivid colors while also being kind to the battery.
The e-reader though is targeted mainly at the education sector and will be put to trial in junior high schools in Shanghai from September 2011 onwards. Commercial usage is also another area that Hanwang Technology is keen to tap with the new e-reader. The company feels introducing the color e-reader in an office environment will lead to a cut in usage of paper which in turn will not only lead to savings, but will also contribute to the green cause.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
