Hisense has just released the A5 PRO single screen E INK smartphone, running Android 10. This device is basically the best smartphone you can buy, that is not color, and has a pure black and white screen for reading ebooks on the go.
The Hisense A5 Pro features a 5.84-inch E INK Carta HD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 720 with 287 PPI. This Android 10 phone has a front-lit display, so you can read in the dark. Underneath the hood is a Unisoc T610 quad core processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is a MicroSD card slot on the SIM card tray that is capable of an additional 128 GB of internal storage. It also has a USB Type-C charging port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, OTG, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a large 4000mAh battery.
This phone employs a 5 MP front-facing camera and a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back to unlock the device and provide an additional layer of security. You can purchase this phone for $289 from the Good e-Reader Store and will be available now.
One thing that is important to note as that the A5 Pro and the A5 Pro CC, the color E INK version are running the exact same hardware and software, the only thing that is different is the e-paper panel, the A5 PRO just is black and white, which actually gives better screen quality. This means the entire retail packaging is the exact same too, the only difference is on the back of the box, on the very bottom, in very small print, it says A5 Pro. You can take a look at our unboxing post of the Pro CC to get a sense on what the box design is like.
