Onyx Boox has disclosed to Good e-Reader that a number of their modern e-readers will receive a Android 9.0 OS update in the coming weeks. This includes the Note Pro, Nova Pro, Poke Pro, MAX2, MAX 2 Pro and a number of other models. Basically anything that has Android 6.0 will be updated.
Android 9.0 is really good for e-readers because it addresses almost all of the known security vulnerabilities, making your device more secure. It will also make most Onyx products compatible with almost every single e-reading, digital comic, magazine or manga app on Google Play.
