Pocketbook has a tremendously loyal following among e-reader loyalists and it looks like the Ukraine will not be the only country to have a Pocketbook retail operation. Pocketbook next week will be opening their first USA based e-reader kiosk type store.
Starting November then 10th Pocketbook will begin their foray into the USA based market with Seattle and Kansas City as their first entry points. Now why Kansas? Well Pocketbook has selected that city to be their company headquarters.
After a trial period at these locations Pocketbook intends on opening up another 20 stores starting next year.
Pocketbook claims to sell around 50,000 e-readers a month globally and if you are in the market for a new e-reader, you can select from the Pocketbook Pro 902, Pro 602, Pocketbook 301, 302 and Pocketbook 360. No word yet if they are launching their new tablet the Pocketbook IQ 701
