Readmoo has launched two new e-reader devices – mooInk Nana “Moon White” edition and the mooInk Pro 2C. As the website e-Reader Pro stated, both the e-readers are currently on pre-orders and can be purchased off the official MooInk website. Pre-orders are going to be accepted till April 23, 2025, with shipments slated to begin by May 2025.
Of the two e-readers, mooInk Nana “Moon White” comes with a 7-inch Kaleido 3 color e-paper display. The e-reader sports a grayish white exterior color scheme and has an Oasis-like asymmetric build where one of the edges is considerably thicker than the rest. The thicker edge is also where the physical page turn buttons are located. Readmoo stated users will be able to map the button to perform other functions as well.
The presence of dual-tone reading lights ensure an optimum reading experience irrespective of the ambient lighting condition. The device otherwise features a quad-core processor that is rated at 1.8 GHz. There is 2 GB of memory onboard along with a massive 256 GB of storage. That is large enough to accommodate an entire library of books and other reading material. The e-reader supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity.
Power comes from a 2,300 mAh battery and can be charged via USB-C port. It runs Android 11 which unfortunately is quite dated considering that many e-readers announced recently come with either Android 14 or the latest Android 15 versions. Nonetheless, you can install the e-book reading app of your choice to suit your distinct reading style. The mooInk Nana is priced NT$9,299 (USD 281) but is currently available at NT$7,388 (USD 223) as part of a special launch offer.
The mooInk Pro 2C, on the other hand, is the larger model featuring a 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 panel. The display has 1,404 × 1,872 pixels resolution which leads to a 227 ppi pixel density when viewing black-and-white content and 114 PPI when viewing color content. It offers six pre-set display modes – default, comic, magazine, picture book, photo, and bold – for viewing different content types.
Under the hood, the mooInk Pro 2C comes with a 2 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage. It comes bundled with a Wacom EMR stylus which offers 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. You can easily jot down notes or draw using the stylus. There is support for eight stylus colors to suit different writing needs and styles. The e-note is priced NT$19,800 (USD 599) but can be ordered for NT$15,388 (USD 465) as part of a launch offer.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
