How would you react to a new HP 12.1-inch EliteBook convertible tablet as a professional who is on the move frequently? The answer is very encouraging indeed! It will fulfill all your professional needs with its touch interface, which comes along with an option of using a pen attached to it. There are two new devices from HP, the EliteBook 2740p tablet PC and a non-tablet device, the EliteBook 2540p that is most likely to be rolled out in the US market from this month.
When it comes to its build quality, the device is rugged consisting of stainless steel finish, magnesium exterior, a strong glass screen and the ability to resist high temperatures. It also is dust proof and can handle vibrations and high altitude. Similar features were available in 2730p released earlier. The 2740 p tablet PC model comes with either Core i5 or i7 processor. The built-in HP DriveGuard technology withstands any impact on design of the Tablet PC.
The 2540 functions with batteries which range from 3 to 9 cells whereas the 2740p derives its energy from two six-cell batteries that includes a Li-Ion battery as well.
The 2740p is quite similar to other laptop models which HP has offered earlier, especially with separate expansion docking and hard drive bays along with optical drive and additional ports. The choice of revolving screen gives EliteBook 2540p a different look. The 2540 runs with either a Core i5 or Core i7 CPU with 7200 rpm hard drive. You also have the option of a low voltage Core 17 processor with space for internal optical drive or additional hard drive. Using Gobi, you also have the option of HP Mobile Broadband.
With a price tag of $1599 for the 2740 p and $1099 for the 2540, HP intends to roll out both the EliteBooks in US market from this month itself. Are you game for it?

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
