Kobo has been busy! Today we just reported that they released a new Holiday gifts program where you can send ebooks or buy giftcards. They have a new program they just released today that allows you to make a quick $10 for every person you refer to Kobo who then buys something!
The new program is called Spread the Word. It starts on November 18th and ends on December 18th. This new program is only available if you live in Canada or the USA (sorry Australia).
Here is how it all works: you can invite up to 10 friends by using their email address and your email address associated with your Kobo account. Any eBooks they purchase get a discount of 50%, and when your friends make purchases you get a $10 credit voucher that is deposited into your Kobo account.
Also, they are doing a draw on December 18th for a Hotel getaway at the Fairmount hotel chain, and is valued at $1000. You can this voucher at any hotel in North America!
Kobo’s relationship with Fairmount is not happenstance with this contest, we reported in August that Kobo and Randomhouse both established deals with the hotel chain. If you are a Gold Customer at Fairmount you can use a complimentary Kobo e-reader for the duration of your stay and get discounts on Randomhouse ebooks.
