The Tolino Page is a brand new e-reader that is available to purchase this summer for $69 Euros. This product was designed to compete against other entry level devices from Amazon or Energy Sistem.
The Tolino Page features a six inch E-Ink Carta Display with a resolution of 800 × 600 pixels and has 167 PPI. It employs Neonode Infrared Touch and does not have a front-light.
Underneath the hood is a 1GHz Freescale i.MX 6 processor, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. There is no SD card to enhance the memory further, so you will have to make due with only having a few hundred e-books on your device at any given time. If you have a larger collection, there is the Tolino Cloud. You should get around three weeks of usage via the 1,000 mAh battery.
I think the Page is exactly what Tolino needed to round off their portfolio. The Tolino Vision 3 HD is the best e-reader the company has ever made, but the most expensive. The Tolino Shine HD 2 is a solid competitor to the Kindle Paperwhite and now the Page appeals to people who are on a budget or want to give it away as a gift.
