The Boyue Likebook Mars is the most powerful E Ink based Android e-reader that has ever been made. The device has a octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM to dramatically increase performance. This is also the first Boyue e-reader to employ Android 6.0, all of their older models are only running 4.2.2. It will be available soon on Amazon and the company is also working on North American distribution. It will retail for $239 and the big question is, will you buy it?
The Likebook Mars features a 7.8 E Ink Carta touchscreen display with a resolution of 1782×1448 and 300 PPI. It has a new color temperature system will will made the screen white and various degrees of blue, which seems to be the trend right now.
Underneath the hood is a 8 core 1.5 GHZ processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It will have an SD card, capable of an additional 32GB. It also will have support for Bluetooth, WIFi, 3.5mm headphone jack and is running Android 6.0.
Dimensions are 270 grams, long 198 mm, wide 144 mm and the thickness is only 8.3 mm. It is powered by a 2800 mAh battery and it will support txt, doc, PDF, HTML, epub, pdb, chm, fb2, mobi, htm, rtf ebook formats.
