Kobo has just released the 4.21 firmware update for every touchscreen e-reader. One of the big changes is introducing support for the new Overdrive Holds system, which went live in March. This allows library patrons who borrow books, ebooks and audiobooks who are on a waiting list to cancel their hold or reschedule their hold for a later time.
Here is the changelog of the update, that is currently being pushed to most Kobo e-readers via WIFI.
OverDrive Holds:
Get notifications when your library holds are available to borrow
View your library holds in Kobo Store > OverDrive > Your holds
Change your OverDrive email notifications (Settings > OverDrive > Edit)
Create Highlights and Notes:
While reading, press and hold a word, then drag to create a long highlight. When you lift your finger, the highlight will be saved automatically.
You can then adjust your highlight, add a note, undo your highlight, or just tap outside the menu to save it.
