“The Japanese word ‘MIRAI’ means ‘future’,” explains Saori Miyahara, General Manager of NTT DOCOMO’s Content Service Department. “The name MANGA MIRAI reflects our mission to deliver the celebrated manga culture of Japan to the entire world and establish its future. We hope to support creators with this platform by offering readers official translations provided by publishers, as well as many more incredible stories that have yet to be translated. We aim to create a platform that delivers the charm of manga to all corners of the Earth and add a little sparkle to everyone’s lives.”
The company said they have already had elaborate plans aimed at achieving future growth and consolidation. For instance, Manha Mirai will be collaborating with different publishers such as Yen Press, LLC, and so on so that they have more manga titles to offer readers in the US. That is not all as the Manga Mirai system will also be integrated into MyAnimeList which will enable readers to have access to the manga titles and preview them before they actually buy it. Additionally, Manga Mirai also plans to launch a special discount scheme as well where fans will have the chance to get select titles at special discounts.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
