Netflix is developing another original anime series based on The Seven Deadly Sins, whose manga has sold over 15 million copies. Netflix has confirmed to Good e-Reader that this is going to be marketed to English speaking audiences and will be available on the streaming platform at the beginning of November.
Developing exclusive anime is nothing new for Netflix the company recently did the science fiction drama “Knights of Sidonia.” A third series, “Ajin: A Demi-Human,” will launch next year.
“The Seven Deadly Sins” books and TV series tell the story of seven knights outlawed after they supposedly conspired to overthrow their king. Each displays a starkly different personality and is associated with a different sin, though in typical anime fashion, all are young and remarkably cheerful-looking. A young princess seeks their help when the Holy Knights who exiled them capture the king and start their own evil government.
