VIIFAQ

QWhy does the screen jitter when play videos in Speed Mode?

A: When the E Ink screen of BOOX Mira is running at high speed, the non-white and non-black areas, such as gray areas, require the charged particles to jitter so as to display grey content. Therefore, jittering will occur while playing videos.

We specifically provide [Video Mode] for video playback scenes, which can solve the problem of screen jitter when refreshing. Please choose Video Mode when you play videos.

Q Why Mira does not mirror my phone’s screen when it is connected to the monitor?

A:The signals of the BOOX Mira are video signals.  Some mobile phones do not support the output of the video signal, so BOOX Mira does not mirror your phone screen.

Please refer to the official support list of mobile phones and tablets on our official website.

Q Why Mira does not mirror my computer’s screen when they are connected via Type-C ports?

A:BOOX Mira requires a Type-C cable that supports the transmission of data, video, and power. Currently, the Type-C ports of some computers only support data and power transmission and do not support video transmission, so BOOX Mira cannot mirror your tablet screen.

You can connect Mira to a computer via an HDMI port. Please refer to the connection method Connect via HDMI High-Definition port

Q Does it support the connection method of desktop Computer VGA to HDMI?

A: Currently BOOX Mira does not support this connection method. Plase use Connect-via-HDMI-port method.

Q Why is there a noticeable flicker after Mira is connected to a computer?

A: Please check whether the computer or browser you are using has entered the Eye-Protection mode. Eye-Protection mode will cause color abnormalities, which will cause very obvious jitter. Please turn off the Eye-Protection mode of your computer or browser before using Mira monitor.

At the same time, it is recommended that the monitor use a light-colored solid-color background as the background to get a better experience.

QWhen my Windows OS uses the Extend mode to connect to Mira, the computer screen responds when i touch Mira screen.

A: This is the default setting of Windows OS, as the touch response is on the main screen by default. The touch response area can be set in the System settings. Please follow the steps as below:

Windows10: Settings > Search [Stylus Calibration and touch input screen] > Display > Configuration > Settings, then follow the instruction to set the touch screen.

Windows7: Settings > Search [Tablet PC Settings] > Configure pen and display touch, then Follow the instrocution  to set the touch screen.

Q Why does Mira mirror the PC screen but the PC still can not be operated by Mira when I connect Mira to a computer via the HDMI connection method?

A: This may be because the Type C data cable connecting the computer and Mira does not support data transmission, but only supports charging.  Please try the Type C cable that supports charging as well as data transmission (the standard USB-C cable for Android phones is fine).
