There is one more Tablet PC to the wellspring of new tablet offerings. This time we turn to the Italian manufacturer Ekoore to come up with an iPad challenger. And the gadget that they believe will bring the iPad down is their latest ET10TA Tablet PC.
Well the company has reasons to believe that the ET10TA can unsettle the iPad; for the device sure looks impressive and has an equally amazing array of features. A 10.2-inch screen dominates the exterior of this sleek Tablet while a resolution of 1024 X 600 makes for a truly scintillating display. The Tablet is powered by the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor as the case is with many a device in this category and comes equipped with a 160GB hard disk and 1GB of RAM. As for its connectivity options, there are choices galore which includes both wired and wireless networks as well as Bluetooth and USB.
However, the one thing that perhaps is the most striking aspect of the ET10TA is the OS that it is going to come preloaded with. Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux will be the standard OS of this Tablet in a dual boot configuration, giving users the choice of running any of the operating system or even both if so needed. The Tablet can also be made to run on operating system other than those that come as standard. For instance, Windows 7, the latest operating system from Microsoft that has been developed to be used in touchscreen devices can be a perfect match with the ET10TA. However, there is a rider here. For those opting to have any other operating system than what the device offers will be required to pay for a copy of the OS that they wish to have.
However, all of these great specs can be for naught if the ET10TA does not perform on the battery department. And it’s also here that makers Ekoore has not been forthcoming with many details. So, not much is known as to how long its 3500mAH battery is going to last. Of course we assume special significance if the 10 hour battery life of the iPad is taken into consideration. And Ekoore’s ET10TA will surely have a hard time convincing Apple fans that their product is a better buy than the iPad if the ET10TA proves to be under powered. As for its price, the Tablet is currently available for €479, which comes out to roughly £430.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
