Gamestop one of the largest companies devoted towards the selling of video games and consoles have announced today they were working on a new tablet computer. They are currently testing out a sales and distribution model for the device and even pairing it with a external controller.
Many tablets right now have the drawback that the touchscreen is not indicative to a great game experience. Some games like Angry Birds are a prime example of why touchscreens are excellent but most shooters and RTS based games suffer from the lack of controls. Many customers end up pairing bluetooth controllers or even WIMOTES to play their games without touching the screen.
Gamestop is currently moving forward with the idea of launching their own tablet to play high-end games with. It would make sense they will use the new Kal EL Nvidia Tegra 3 architecture that we got exclusive hands on with at Computex in Taiwan a few months ago. More then likely it will be another Android tablet but this one might just be aimed at Gamers.
