Kobonn, the India based mobile communications company, is out to test the waters in the tablet segment. Karbonn is starting out with a budget device, which is the company’s forte, as it already enjoys a sizable presence in the mobile handset segment.
The tablet named Smart Tab 1 comes with a 7.01 inch capacitive multipoint touchscreen display and runs the latest Android 4.0.3. Its spec sheet further includes a 1.2 Ghz processor, a 3700 mAh battery, 2 megapixel front facing camera, and is capable of playing back 1080p quality video with ease. The Smart Tab 1 is Wi-Fi enabled and connect to 3G networks via an USB dongle.
This tablet sounds great, and costs an affordable INR 6,999. You can head over to the company website that is already accepting pre-orders. Karbonn hasn’t revealed the exact launch date quite yet.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
