If you have been wondering what would make the perfect gift idea for your tech savvy valentine, Amazon has the answer. It has just made its 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD cheaper by $50, which means your wallet won’t have to suffer while you are pampering your significant other. The above discount applies to the LTE version of the tablet, while the Wi-Fi only version gets a price cut of $30.
What this amounts to is that the Kindle Fire Wi-Fi will now cost $269, down from $299 while the same for the Kindle Fire 4G is $449, down from the original price of $499. The discount will be in effect from today until Feb 8th. However, the purchase will be limited to just one per person. Buyers will have to enter the phrase ‘FIRELOVE’ to get the special price. Interestingly, the 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD is the only model that Amazon has lined up for the special Valentine Day treatment, as none of its other tablet or e-reader devices have a price discount to celebrate the season of love. But then again, this isn’t the first time the 8.9 inch Kindle Fire HD is being made available at a reduced price. Amazon had last slashed its price in January as a special offer for students who are affiliated to the Amazon Prime club. There was also a similar discount for the Kindle Fire 8.9 HD in last December as well.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
