Here is some good news for tablet fans and enthusiasts, particularly for those who have already parted with their money for the Adam Android tablet. Rohan Shravan in his latest blog post is all too pleased to announce they have secured the mandatory FCC green signal, which means they can resume shipping the tablet from as early as Wednesday itself. They have been holding on to the shipping as they were awaiting the final nod from FCC without which they were unable to print the labels. Delay on part of the FCC is granting the right codes had put things on hold till now though all of that will soon be a thing of past. Also, if you are eager to search the FCC site for Adam details, here is what you’ll need – Product Code which is NI3421A01, Y2G as Guarantee Code while 0020356499 being FNR.
Meanwhile, as far as the codes go, there is an interesting story behind it which again brings to the fore Notion Ink founder Rohan Shravan’s fascination with the Fibonacci series of numbers. Like for the Product Code NI3421A01 which has been assigned by Notion Ink, the first two letters are the initials of the company itself while the last three entry, A01 refers to Adam 1 series which also points out there are more in the series after this. The remain part of the Product Code, that is 3421 is actually the 9th number in the Fibonacci series with the number preceding it being 0100, 0102, 0302, 0503, 0805, 1308, 2113 and 3421. This again is a pointer of the current Adam being the 9th iteration of the tablet!
Shravan has also pointed out the company won’t be opening up the second round of pre-orders before they are done with the first batch. They are in fact waiting for the shipping to resume in Europe and the United States and the good thing is, that is going to take off this week itself. Also, continuing with the good news, Shravan has also assured users that the Adam package will also include a handsome complement of content ranging from music and videos to books and magazines as well along with comics too.
