The world’s most powerful tablet, the Razor Edge, can be pre-ordered starting the 1st of March with deliveries likely to begin towards late March. Designed primarily for the gaming community, the Razor Edge price starts at $999 for the 64 GB version of the tablet, progressively increasing to $1,299 and $1,499 for the 128 GB and 256 GB versions of the Razer Edge Pro, respectively. The pre-order process starts exactly at 12:01 PST on March 1st. Orders can be placed at the official Razor website.
The Razor Edge is designed to run almost all PC games in tablet format. With that in mind, the tablet boasts of some heavy duty internals in the form of Core i5 or Core i7 chips, along with Nvidia GT 640M LE GPU to ensure smooth rendering of even the most graphics heavy files. A 4/8 GB RAM also ensures performance is never an issue for the tablet that is based on the Windows 8 platform. The tablets also come with detachable game controllers, which—together with the internals and a huge battery—add to the weight and the cost. Its intended clientele doesn’t seem to mind though. The company had run a Facebook campaign to ascertain if there is enough support for a tablet that thick, heavy, and costly. The campaign met with a resounding success that led the company to begin with the production process. The Razor Edge was launched last month at the CES event, so check out our hands on video below.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
