Here is some good news from the Samsung camp: the tablet device they have been making is finally nearing completion of its development phase and is all set to enter the market soon. In fact, it can be as soon as next month. The IFA consumer electronics show to be held in Berlin has been chosen as the preferred launch venue of the Android tablet that has raked up considerable consumer interest in recent times. The show is held from September 3rd through the 8th.
Providing credibility to the rumors is the fact that the news comes from a ‘top ranking official’ of the Korean company. “We will showcase our latest Smart TV and interchangeable lens camera models at the show,” the source revealed before adding, “We will also showcase our tablet PC for the first time officially.”
That Samsung is into making a tablet device has been in the news since a few months after the iPad was launched and went on to become a raging success. The tablet was then named the ‘S Pad‘ though over time it has now acquired the name ‘Galaxy Tab‘ which is derived from the Galaxy range of smartphones that the company has come out with.
However, detailed specification has never made it to the public realm and all that’s known of the upcoming Galaxy tab is that it has a 7 inch screen and will run the popular Android OS from Google.
Finally we have some big names joining the tablet scene and it will be interesting to see what comes out of all these developments in the tablet segment.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
