Many lost their sleep and appetite over this tablet and it’s finally here. Right on time – Dec 18 as was announced earlier by Notion Ink CEO Rohan Shravan. The company had earlier notched up huge pre-orders for its much awaited Android tablet Adam. In fact, the company expressed surprise over the response that it received with the Pixel Qi versions of the Adam. It took perhaps a little over 24 hours for the PQ Adams to record pre-orders to the tune of over a hundred thousand units. The LCD versions of the Adam continue to be available and they’re not likely to go out of stock anytime soon, considering there is no dearth in supply of LCD screen. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said of the in-demand Pixel Qi displays and Notion Ink is said to have asked the latter to ramp up their production. They anticipate a huge demand once they open up pre-orders once again after clearing the initial rush.
Meanwhile, there continues to be rumblings over having opened up bookings without making available a single picture or video of the finished thing. Some even have gone on to rule out the device calling it as nothing more than vapor ware. However, the critics can now take the backseat. Here is a video of the production ready Adam in full flow. Makers of the video also made it clear the video was shot to bring out the performance capabilities of the tablet PC even with several memory intensive apps running in the background. However, a few more videos as well as picture of the device will only shed more light on the tablet and the guys at Notion Ink are well aware. Which is the reason why they have promised a video a day showcasing a particular application or principle that is part of the Adam.
