There is another Canada Post strike, but this time they are working while it is happening. There is a significant delay in receiving packages, although letter mail is working fine. However, there is a huge delay in delivering parcels to PO Boxes. Many companies are posting about this, including Rakuten Kobo, which is a Canadian company.
The most recent strike occurred in mid-May and is still ongoing, as it is now almost July. When you order things from Amazon, they tend to have their drivers in most cities. Many rural customers still use PO Boxes for all their mail, and they are suffering the most. When ordering tablets, phones, or e-readers from eBay, it is often handed over to Canada Post for the final leg of the delivery, unless the seller ships via a proper courier company.
Many of the top e-reader brands that ship to Canada have all posted about the delays with parcels and PO Boxes, including Amazon.
