Lilygo has announced the launch of the new T-Deck Pro development board, which comprises an e-paper display on top, followed by a QWERTY keyboard at the bottom, the website LinuxGizmos reported. Specifically, it is a 3.1-inch 320 x 240 resolution e-paper display that the T-Deck Pro comes with. The display is touchscreen enabled, which, together with its wide viewing angles, adds to its user convenience. Further, the e-paper display makes it perfectly readable even in direct sunlight.
Under the hood, the T-Deck Pro comes with a 240MHz ESP32-S3FN16R8 dual-core LX7 microprocessor. There is 8 MB of SRAM onboard, along with 16 MB of flash memory, with the option to add more storage. It supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 (LE) wireless connectivity. It also features a Bosch BHI260AP sensor which offers a 16-bit 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope. It happens to be a self-learning AI smart sensor that has IMU built in and allows for motion detection.
The device is powered by a 1400 mAh battery and supports ‘LoRa’ low-power wireless LAN communication protocol. It comes with a GPS positioning module and is compatible with Arduino, PlatformIO IDE, and ESP-IDF development platforms. It measures 120 x 66 x 13.5 mm and offers a Type-C port, along with a SIM card and a TF card slot. Besides, there is an earphone jack as well.
The T-Deck Pro comes in two versions and starts at US$81.79. Prices vary according to the configuration. Check with the official Lilygo sales site for more up-to-date information on this.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
