The Remarkable is a digital note taking tablet that is running e-paper, this allows you to take it outside in the sun and make notes, highlights and annotations. You can even curl up and read your favorite e-book, because it supports EPUB and PDF. When you order this device it comes with a protective case, which they call a sleeve or Folio. Today, Peter and Michael unbox it and give you our first impressions.
The Folio comes with a stylus holder at the very top and it fits very snuggly. The Remarkable writing tablet fits into the case and it has a high degree of torque, sort of like a new dress shirt with a very starchy collar. We tried flipping it upside down and shaking it, to see if the writing tablet or the stylus would slide out, it does not. It almost fits too well inside, it is hard to take it out. This case is well designed, but I don’t know if it is worth the $119 CAD that they are charging.
