Apple is rolling out an update to their podcasting app that will make it easier to discover new content. They have added new top level categories, a new curated system and have introduced charts, which shows you the most popular podcasts and it changes regularly.
The new Apple categories will make it easier to find relevant podcasts to suit your own personal tastes. It is available in the main podcast app for iOS and iTunes. Here is the complete list of new categories.

I like the new look to the podcasts app and the charts section is a welcome addition. Publishers have all told me that podcasts are gateways to audiobooks and year on year, audiobooks are dramatically increasing in user adoption and generating meaningful revenue.
