Audible has come up with a new update for iOS users which claims to introduce several improvements as well as bug fixes. According to the change log available, it is iOS 15.5 that would be the minimum needed for receiving updates henceforth from Audible. That is also the minimum iOS version needed to make the most of the Spatial audio and Dolby Atmos sound effects that the company introduced recently.
That way, all iPhone models that were launched after iPhone 6S will henceforth be able to download future updates from Audible. That is also the least needed to make the most of the Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio sound effects that the latest Audible app supports. More specifically, the iPhone models that is going to be compatible with the latest update include the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS and XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone SE second generation, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 13 series, and the latest iPhone 14 series.
Among the other improvement that the latest update comes with include support for subsequent title downloads for series which now begins after the initial title nears completion. This has been done to ensure an enhanced consumer experience.
The update also fixes the bug that led to frequent crashes when content download resumes after launching the app.
Opt for manually updating the Audible app on your iPhone if you haven’t already received the notification.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
