Scribd is launching ScribdChat podcast on Tuesday, Dec. 12. Each podcast episode will feature thoughtful conversations with leading authors, and give listeners a deep-dive into unique insights from new and prominent books that they can apply to their own lives. The inaugural podcast will feature Tim Ferriss, who just released a new book, Tribe of Mentors: Short Life Advice from the Best in the World. Other upcoming author guests include Gretchen Rubin, James Altucher, Emilie Wapnick — and many more.
Scribd launching a podcast system makes perfect sense. Companies have come to realize that podcasts are a gateway to audiobook sales. Podcasts are easy to produce and are normally free, if Scribd can leverage this type of content to get more subscribers, they will consider it a win.
