Chapters and Indigo Books are now allowing readers all over Canada to use their Plum rewards points online and within the companies Android and iOS app. What more, is that you can now earn points by buying books online, something you never used to be able to do. The bookseller has also announced that on your birthday you will earn double the points, but you have to opt into their email system.
There is a downside to be able to use your points online, Chapters/Indigo are decreasing the amount of points you earn. Previously you garnered 10 points for every dollar spent in the bookstore and this has been charged to 5 points for every dollar. This means you will have to spend double the amount on books to be able to save money.
Here is a list of the new point conversion system and the various tiers that allow you to get a deduction on your next purchase.
2500 points = $5
4500 points = $10
8500 points = $20
20000 points = $50
35000 points = $100
