ComiXology had a sale on the Flashpoint comics over the weekend, which doubtless pushed them into the top ten. What’s interesting about that is that comiXology has a couple of digital sales every weekend, but the marked-down comics don’t seem to make the top ten—it’s usually just the week’s new releases. Either there’s something special about Flashpoint or the new releases were thin this past week because it was the fifth week of the month. Or maybe both are true.

As always, I stripped out the free books to make this list consistent with the others. Injustice: Gods Among Us usually dominates this list, but this is the first time it has squeezed out every other title. In fact, you have to get to the #12 slot to find a different comic—Batman ’66 #1. After that, though, the list gets quite diverse; the second ten includes several different manga, two volumes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and a Captain Underpants book.

The Injustice is strong in this one: Issue #30 made the list on the strength of pre-orders alone; it won’t be out until Tuesday. The two Batman titles look like digital-first comics, and I assume Batman Beyond 2.0 is one of DC’s DC2 comics that incorporate digital-only techniques.
