The comic book industry made over a billion dollars last year and print sales generated $900 million dollars. Sadly, digital did not have a good year and the format only accounted for $90 million in sales.
Digital sales declined around 10% in 2015, back to 2013 levels. This was the only area of decline among all the segments of the entire comic book market.
I think it’s important to note that the digital figures do include comics and graphic novels, but not subscriptions to services such as Marvel Unlimited, Comixology Unlimited or Scribd.
