Baker & Taylor is pleased to announce that TLC library systems are the first library catalogs to seamlessly integrate with the Axis 360 digital media platform. Using Baker & Taylor’s suite of API services, libraries using the TLC system can now provide their patrons with full search and discovery of Axis 360 titles, view real-time availability, and complete a checkout or place a hold with one-click right from the library’s online catalog.
Baker and Taylor has been working on official API tools for quite some time and libraries who participate in lending out ebooks from their Axis 360 platform can now integrate everything into their existing TLC systems. This will put ebooks onto the same monitoring platform as tangible books and make the entire process easier to deal with from a logistics point of view. Currently, the company is working on more solutions for the other major ILS systems currently being used for libraries in the USA.
