Amazon has just sent out an email to authors and publishers that states “eBook season is just getting started. With so many new E-readers being unwrapped this month, there’s never been a better time to start promoting your eBooks.” If you are not aware, Amazon is referring their own pay per click advertising program that helps with discoverability when users are typing in keyboards in the search bar or a text/image based ad unit.
Amazon sold over 412 million Kindle books in the United States last year and controls roughly 85% of the entire market. If you are an author or publisher it makes sense to advertise where the vast majority of readers are.
