Barnes and Noble Nook Press is the booksellers self-publishing platform to sell ebooks. They have just unveiled a new self-serve advertising portal to create effective campaigns–no marketing or graphic design know-how necessary. Just provide the book’s details, and see your book’s ad appear on relevant BN.com category and genre pages, seen by customers most likely to become fans.
Authors who want to advertise on B&N will abide by CPM, which is an advertising term that means cost per thousand impressions. Example: In the $300 ad package, you are purchasing 25,000 impression for $300, which works out to a cost of $12 per thousand impressions — or a $12 CPM.
The ad server will attempt to serve your budget evenly on a daily basis throughout the duration of the campaign. In the event of Under-delivery, meaning your impression goal was not met during the specified flight dates due to lack of available inventory for the selected categories, you will be consulted by an account manager on your options for the remaining balance.
