If you’re still pining for the excitement of Harry’s childhood journey through magic and adventure, there’s good news. Author JK Rowling has announced four new books in the Harry Potter world, ones that will delve into the history of magic associated with Hogwarts and the wizarding world.

While fans may know Voldemort’s origin story or how the houses were formed, this series–aptly called Harry Potter: A Journey Through…–is interestingly being billed as a “non-fiction ebook” series. These short reads will focus on the lessons that students learned at Hogwarts. (See? Perhaps you CAN graduate from Hogwarts, no owl letter required!)

The first two books will release on June 27; A Journey through Charms & Defense Against the Dark Arts and A Journey through Potions & Herbology will launch at the same time. Later, A Journey through Divination and Astronomy will be followed by A Journey through Care of Magical Creatures.

The series follows up from the widely popular Harry Potter: A History of Magic, which itself was based around a popular exhibit at London’s British Library. The display contained magical and mythological references from around the world, alongside objects and artwork that inspired or were part of so many folktales and legends.A later companion audiobook from the History of Magic included interviews with the curators of the exhibit.

If you’re already on the edge of your seat to purchase your latest adventures, there is plenty of content still going up on Pottermore, Jk Rowling’s site devoted to all thing wizarding. The ebooks will be available through the site and through major online retailers.
