Amazon is starting a new program where they are giving away a free six month subscription to Kindle Unlimited when you purchase a Kindle Paperwhite 3. There is only a short blurb about the subscription underneath the Paperwhite imagery at the top of the page and there is a dedicated “Add both to cart” option where you can opt into the subscription.
The total number of Kindle ebooks offered by Amazon is currently over 3.7 million. Therefore, Kindle Unlimited represents 38% of the entire Kindle Store catalog. You can read as many titles as you want during the free six month period and then it will cost $9.99 per month.
