Good e-Reader is proud to be the official media sponsor of Read an eBook Week, starting March 4th and running until March 10th 2012. Co-Sponsors of the event include Kobo, e-Ink, Smashwords, and more! This is a national event in Canada, but everyone is invited worldwide to participate reading digital ebooks.
From the beginning, Read an E-Book Week has been a champion for the digital word. Rita Toews, the founder of the program, told us in an exclusive interview that “Last fall we petitioned the Canadian House of Commons to declare March as Read an E-Book Month. We are pleased to announce that the 41st Parliament of Canada, by virtue of Motion M-293, has recognized that e-books present significant benefits for individuals of all ages and are an environmentally-friendly alternative to print books. The month of March has been officially recognized as Read an E-Book Month.”
Read An E-Book Week’s newly launched website provides the information necessary to embrace the new technology. Free e-books, classic e-books, huge discounts from authors and publishers, as well as contests for e-readers… you’ll find it all at Read An E-Book Week! Check our their official website at http://www.ebookweek.com/.
