SPH Magazines is one of the largest publishing outfits in Singapore. They offer 18 newspapers and over 100 magazines in four different languages. The company announced today that they are entering the digital arena with replica editions of seven of their leading magazine titles. SPH intends on offering Her World, Female, Cleo Singapore, Cosmopolitan Singapore, Simply Her, Shape Singapore and Nuyou.
Customers will be able to take out monthly subscriptions or purchase single issued via Google Play and Apple. The company is betting on appealing to strong demographic of women readers that tend to use mobile phones and tablets. Each magazine will take advantage of the full color displays and offer video, audio and photo galleries.
Talking about this initiative, Loh Yew Seng, CEO of SPH Magazines, said, “We at SPH Magazines understand the needs of our female readers, from the young woman who is learning how to excel in both her work and her personal life to the successful career woman who wants to stay up-to-date with the latest trends. We have launched the digital editions of our women’s titles to make it even easier for them to enjoy their favorite magazine.”
