Zinio has informed us that their seminal magazine app is coming to the Blackberry App World sometime in March 2012. Their new application will be written exclusively for the Blackberry Playbook OS2 that just came out last week. This should give people a viable option to purchase a copious amount of magazines using their exclusive technologies.
Zinio has been around for a number of years and was one of Apples first launch partners for the Apple iPad. Their app has been on the top best seller list for years and many people can’t live without it. They have developed a proprietary touchscreen format that allows people to intuitively turn pages and swipe around for content.
The company had released an Twitter announcement today confirming these details and it should be an added boon for App World. Currently the Blackberry APP portal suffers from major industry partners such as Skype, Netflix, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and many others.
