Just last month, Dasung launched the Paperlike 13k monitor which has a monochrome e-paper display. The company has now followed that up with the Paperlike 13K, which is being hailed as the world’s first 13.3-inch color E Ink monitor. As is understandable, the monitor comes with a 13.3-inch display having 3200 x 2400 resolution with a 300 PPI pixel density.
However, the one aspect that sets the monitor apart from the rest is its 37Hz God-level Ultra-fast refresh rate. This makes it closer to LCD or LED displays in performance, allowing for smoother transitions and a stutter-free playback of video files. The company further stated that there is the latest generation X-Color Filter primary color enhancement algorithm is also at work to ensure a top-notch viewing experience. This equally applies to almost all work scenarios, which can be like writing code, editing documents, web browsing, and so on.
Further adding to the viewing experience is the Auto-Clear automatic image clearing technology. This ensures all remnants of past displays get cleared effectively and quickly so that none of it remains when the display changes. This allows for a pure and clean display to appear each time, something that makes the monitor have similar traits to traditional displays, such as LCD.
The monitor comes with an HDMI and a Type-C port and can be connected to both a computer and a smartphone. It is compliant with Windows and Linux and offers a reverse touch control feature. The CNC one-piece carved aluminum alloy body imparts the monitor strength and style in almost equal measure.
The monitor is currently listed on the Indiegogo crowdfunding site, though there is no mention yet as to when it is going to ship or how much it is going to cost. Those interested can sign in, though.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
