Ever wonder who is selling the most eBooks at any given time? Amazon has just released the BETA version of their Author Rank Page. It is updated every hour and gives people a chance to see what authors are selling the most books.
This new project will help readers discover new authors and look at a dynamic list that gives you a sense on what is popular. This goes beyond the traditional best seller list, which aggregates statistics based on a week or more of data. Readers wanting something new to read can instantly browse any of the top 100 authors on the list.
There are no surprised on the top list with entries of James Patterson, E.L James and Sylvia Day. There are a few authors on the list that likely people have never heard of before and will be interesting to see how this new premise will effect the industry.
