Amazon has just discount their latest generation Fire Tablets by over 30% exclusively for Prime Members. The Fire 7 tablet is on sale for $34.99 and the Fire HD 8 tablet is on sale for $54.99. The deal is not visible while you are browsing these product listings, Amazon gives you the discounted when you have initiated the checkout process.
These two Fire tablets both came out earlier in the year and both employ Alexa, the Amazon voice assistant. Obviously these two devices are on the low-end of the hardware spectrum and are designed to be a gateway to Audible, Kindle ebooks,Prime Movies and Music. Basically if you are heavily invested in the Amazon ecosystem it might make sense to buy one, but don’t expect a high quality screen and cutting edge hardware.
