Amazon is releasing a preview edition of the new firmware update 3.0.2 for the Kindle 2, Kindle 2 Graphite and the Kindle 2 Graphite 3G. This update is only for the 6 inch devices, so for now people who have the Amazon Kindle DX will not be allowed to download this update.
Although this update will not be available to download over the air or via WI-FI, the only way you could download it by following the preview update link HERE.
Although there is not a lot of news on what this update will fix, we know for sure that there are stability solutions to the online account creation feature that dropped with the last Kindle Update 3.0.1. This basically allowed users to register a new Amazon account directly from your Kindle, rather then force users to register on a PC. Amazon says the bulk of the features will upgrade the Web browser and general performance improvements.
