Amazon has just announced that their popular Kindle Paperwhite e-reader will have a new color option, white. This is the first time the company has offered a different color option on this particular model.
The Paperwhite has not changed on a hardware level and still has a six inch e-ink Carta display screen with a resolution of 1430×1080 and 300 PPI.
Underneath the hood is a 1 GHZ processor and 512 MB of RAM. There is 4 GB of internal storage and the majority of your content will be held in the cloud. There is certainly enough space to have a thousand e-books on your device at any given time.
The white version of the Paperwhite will be available on June 30th and pre-orders are available right now for $119.00.
I actually really dig the new color option. Whenever I have the ability to buy it in white, I normally do. I have a white iPhone, iPad, Blackberry Torch and a slew of other devices. Black is so passe.
