Amazon does not sell e-books or e-readers in Poland, residents of that country have to buy their hardware and e-books from the German website. In order to drive Kindle sales, Amazon has updated their Paperwhite product page with promotional imagery and the item description is completely in Polish. This means that anyone now looking to buy one the latest generation Kindles and are visiting the German site from Poland, there is a new geolocation feature that will swap out the images and text.
It remains to be seen if Amazon will start targeting the Polish audience with the complete Kindle lineup or will offer future discounts. I think in the here and now, Amazon is simply A/B testing with a single product and will see what type of sales it generates.
